HePDO Leads National Immunization Campaign in Rural Gambia

    October 14, 2024 gm.hepdo@gmail.com 3 comments

HePDO is proud to announce the successful completion of our latest immunization campaign, which reached over 10,000 children in rural areas of The Gambia. This initiative, conducted in partnership with local government health authorities, aimed to protect children against preventable diseases like measles, polio, and diphtheria.

Our team of dedicated volunteers and healthcare professionals traveled to remote villages, where access to healthcare is limited. The response from communities was overwhelmingly positive, as parents welcomed the opportunity to protect their children’s health.

    Why Immunization Matters
Immunization is one of the most effective public health interventions, preventing an estimated 2-3 million deaths every year. However, in many parts of rural Gambia, families lack access to vaccines and essential healthcare services. That’s why HePDO’s work is crucial in ensuring that even the most vulnerable populations are protected.

    A Community Effort
This campaign was made possible thanks to the generous support of our donors, partners, and volunteers. Together, we are making a significant impact on public health in The Gambia.

    Join Us
You can support our future immunization campaigns by donating or volunteering. Every contribution helps us reach more communities and protect more lives.
